The rocker supports look beefy comparerd to stock.
I used the new breathers, and they do seem to limit oil carry over.

Got the pistons and barrels fitted cleaned. Barrels, pistons, rings and gudgeon pins in brake cleaner and hot soapy water. used some Permatex assembly lube its an oily type not a grease type

Fitted the pistons into barrels on the bench then put gudgeon pin and circlips in found this a lot easier

Well all was travelling along nicely when I went to fit the Delkron rocker supports and the holdown bolts wouldn't fit with the rocker shafts in place.

measured the old rocker supports and the new and the old ones have a larger hole

Well now you mention it I do remember reading that somewhere !
I didn't twig that it was hitting on the shafts.
The thing with the stock plate, you can slightly alter your pushrod centering and rocker tip to valve alignment.

Got first ride in this morning

put plenty of pressure on the rings and didn,t go past 4000rpm, accelling hard and decelling hard up and down the revs and didn't cruise at a constant speed, put 70kms on it

had the laptop plugged in with the screen open and the temp didn't go past 217*F

it feels a lot stronger and the speed rises really quickly

Got home dropped the oil will let it cool down to ambent temp and go for another squirt

Yeh Hilly put 300ks on it today and its a different bike

didn't use any oil and ran really well

Got 550ks on it now will drop the oil again and do some Vtunes and pick up an AFR meter same as Speedzter so will see how that goes

will fit the tman cams in a few weeks

Fitted the Tman 662-2 Cams, SE oil pump, SE cam support Plate and the Zippers dual piston chain tentioners today

also measured the crank run out ( fuck I hate doing this) but that was all good at .0015" ( 1.5 thou)

The bike with the Tman Cams seams to have a better roll on and doesn't feel like it losses out in the higher RPM

So for any of you lads that are planning a 120 r there a few things that I would recomend

Fit some .010" oversize pistons straight up to clean up Harleys Q&A ( I went with GMR's domed pistons)

Put a good quality Beehive valve spring in the heads ( I went an AV&V beehive)

Ditch the SE lifters for another brand ( I had some new Harley "B" lifters that I have in and a set of S&S lifters as spare)

Fit some Roller rockers (I used S&S)

Adjustable Push Rods ( currently have SE taperd one but have some S&S Prods in for when I put in the S&S Llifters)

    and hold on

    Hey Ando,

Any chance of measuring up the hole centres on that feuling crank run out plate please. I want to make one up prior to when/if I put cams in mine and would like to check the run out whilst I'm at it for interests sake. That said if they are cheap enough I will just buy one - where did you come by yours?

Great pics by way and very informative about the 120 mods as I still ummimng and arrhing wether to just bypass the the whole cams, heads mod bit and go straight for the 120?

When we catch up again some time i would love to pick your brains on cams etc for the 103.

    cheers

    BDA

well I put the SE266 cam back in for a comparrision with the Tman 662-2,,,,,,,,,,,,, conclusion is that SE cams are shite

also just done a 2500k trip to Newman and back and the bike ran like a charm, it had the best fuel economy of all the bikes and it loved the hours or highway cruising

the Blue is the Tman and the red is the SE266
