Hi Just wondering if anyone has any idea on basemaps for a 2010 wg with A/C 2 into 1 and S&S 253 cams?

I am thinking of getting the pipe and cams and looked in the maps and couldnt work out which one would apply

I have side shots and A/C and stock motor right now? tuned with Vtuned and goes well, (running QQ BCT baffles at the moment had the stock V&H ones in there but go sick of the tinny sound)

Looing to go to a 2into1 and get the cams at the same time so its only one tuning run

But as Isd I couldn,t work out what map to use they are all listed different that when i did my last one (they where Mt7 maps)?

    any ideas,

After taking a look around I think I will end up getting rinehart crossbacks, (due to the room at the front, I have all my brake and shifters on the right side due to being an amuptee, so the extra clearance will help we I final get some custom levers set up),

    Any ideas on Map?

    Proformance machine AC

    Rinehart cross backs

    And hopefully 583 S&S cams?

I'd go for the CAA-176 cal for MT8 VTune. Do the IVO camtune data thingy first if you like, or set it using the cam estemator feature in the cam selector under ECM Tuning constants. You will need the cam specs for this.

What, what, what most of the last two posts just went right over my head, has TTs changed that much in the 14 months or so since I tuned my ride,

I will need to have another look at it tonight and may well be back for some more info,
Looking at shipping costs etc looks like I will be going with a SE255 cam and sticking with the side shots (I have the BCTQQ in at the moemnt but have ordered some of the V&H quiet baffles) stock V&H baffles seem to tinny to me and I dont think they make enough back pressure for a good tune, maybe this would be different with the cam hopefully I will have it all here and ready to go when I gett he service doone on the 18th of next month, gives me enough time to get my head around the new tuning requierments,

thanks all and I will be back for more pointers, cheers,

The CAA-176 cal is for the 255 cam so you don't have to change the cam selector settings. You don't have to use the newer MT8 tuning features if you don't want to, but the cam tune & the EGR features do help in making the bike run much smoother IMHO.
Just stick with what you know for the mean time.

whats the highest CLB setting anyone has used, both my good current maps (different baffles) are 720 did some at i think it was 681 or 680 a lot less power, so i was thinking if i went to say 740 or something would that be better, I have no idea on the workings of this I just used the setting of 720 because most people agreed it was a good place to start in AU.

The mt8's have some new features in the over the mt7 cals. You don't have to use them, but why not. Read over the new manual, and check out the EGR tables and cam tune. Might be better to come here and ask specific questions of what you don't understand.

CAA-176 is still the best cal to start with.

Yeah, from what I can gather, most people on the forum use 720. As the manual says, when you go too high it shortens the life of the o2 sensors.

If you go over to Harley Tech Talk, there are some real brain boxes that have helped people with the ins & outs of TTS.

Those Rinehart crossovers you mention are in fact "true duals"

There ain't a direct close TTS cal for them in the cal file list , not for a Dyna/Softail at least

HOWEVER there are a number of cals on the Kuryakyn free TTS downloads site for V&H duals etc etc on Dynas and Softails , tourers as well.

Various cam options are featured as well . mostly Kuryakyn's own cams of course. Might be close enough

Try HERE and look in the drop down menu. remember some earlier touring bikes had the same mechanicals / cable throttle throttle as Dynas !!

    http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/4260/Perfect-Storm-Kit-for-Dyna

I'm running myself as of last weekend the  2007-2010 Dyna Softail AC Slipons .MT7   calibration and so far all good , no V tuning required !

And I've used these cals LOTS of times for other dudes
