About a week ago, i placed my hilux on the internet for sale.
After about 10 minuets of add being on, I got the usual dickheads ring to tell me they could buy same for half the price eleswere, Politely told them to go away and get a life,
Then i started to get a number of enquires offering to buy my hilux and thed send a courier around to pick up.
WTF, Then the next day theyd ring to request that i put some money in there pay pall acount so they could get there funds released. Anyway, I noticed there mobile text message prefix no. Australia is 61, But theres was 44 and some had other prefixes. Of course i realised this was scamm callers straight away. 44 is Engalnds phoneprefix,So I thought, f$ck em, These scammers had tried this on a friend of mine a few weeks earlier.
If this happens to you, try this. When they text back. they try to get you to put money in there paypal account so they could release there funds, ask them to ring you back as you are interested in selling your car to them but you want to talk about it, If they ring back, say, yea ok ill put the 250 dollars in your account or whatever they ask for,but say hang on, ill just get my details. what i did was go make a coffee, come back to phone and said,, nearly got details, can you just hang on a few more minuets, Id then watch the news or whatever and come back 10 minuets later, They were still on phone.
One dickhead hung on 35 minuets, when i got bored with it, (his mobile no had the 44 prefix,Engalnd) I hung up.
He rang back so i did it again, 25 minuets i had him hang on 2nd time. Then at end i said, na changed my mine and told him to ef off, Ha ha ha.
