Just wondering if you changed to pipes on a stock 2010 Widey do the 02 sensors pick up the change and nothing else needs to be changed or tuned???
Cheers...Sparra
Ando's right, and you'll find that without a tune she'll run too lean and the decel pop/bang will drive you nuts.
Thanks for the reply's...The reason for the question is that I am looking at a couple of bikes, one new with pipes, air and tuner...one almost new that is stock...I can save about 7g's with the stock bike and add the extra's as I can afford them...i already have some pipes with 02 plugs in them on my evo that I thought I could put on the stock bike and save a few $$..I could probably buy pipes, tuner, air and get it tuned and dyno'ed and still be cheaper than the new bike...Oh..the new bike is a Switchback and the other is a Wide Glide...
OK...The new pipes are on(Bassani Road Rage)...I haven't ridden the bike yet but when I do if it doesn't pop and carry on can I assume it won't be too lean...The nearest dealer to get a tune is a 2hr ride and i don't want to do any damage on the way over...TTS is on the way when the new model is in at M & M...
I changed my stock mufflers to V&H 3" slip on's fuck she has heaps of decel pop and backfire etc. I didn't think a muffler would change that much?
Yeah mate,Mark sent me an email yesterday...I put the new pipes on and went for a squirt and it is running great..No popping on decel so I should be right until it turns up...
If you are just modifying the pipes, from stock, then no worries. As soon as you mod the air filter, You ABSOLUTELY MUST get a tune. No ifs ands or buts. NOTE: If you don't change the air filter at the same time, You are all but guaranteed to lose power.
