How to shave 6kg off your Road king in one evening

    How? Removed the LH muffler and cross over tube, blocked off the LH exhaust outlet.

    LH pipe is put there for symmetry only anyway. 2 into 1 arrangement has horsepower advantages over 2 into 2.

    Now, all I have to do is some experimentation on the RH muffler to get the sound that I want. Mufflers are locally made Sonic

    been wanting to modify my '99 road kings exhaust since I've had it. (three years).

    I've always felt that the touring models dont have the same "ka -thump ka-thump" as the other models, & believe it's because of the rear header one into two system.

    I've toyed with the idea of cutting & welding the pipe & creating a single system for each cylinder, but wondered if it would reduce torque etc.

    I will wait till I can afford a big radius vance & hines 2 into two system, (hope I can pick up a used set), also a good idea to keep original system intact.

    If I could fit v & h exhaust, I could also remove classic bags & brackets etc. temporarily, to have a different look .
