Hi I hope someone can help me out here. When i tried to start my bike today it wouldnt turn over at all. All lights, turnsignals, horn work properly. What didnt work: The powercommander dont light up as it should. When hitting the startbutton nothing happens. I removed the powercommander and plugged in the stock harness but no difference. I checked the killswitch wich works according to my multimeter. All fuses are ok and battery is fully charged. Yesterday it ran fine and i just turned the ignition off when i came home and today it was kinda dead. Would the instruments light up and work if the ecu was broken? Could it be the TSM? My thought was the tippsensor is in there right? Since the powercommander dont get any current when i turn on the ignition but the rest does it feels a bit like a immobilizer kicking in. But the TSM aint got no immobilizer huh? Damn This buggs me out. All visible groundings have been checked, so has the battery connections. PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I GO MAD Lars
make sure its in nuetral
check ya kill switch while ya at it
I agree with Hmmm to. Check fob battery first.. But if not try these.............
With a test light or your multi meter check you have power at the starter motor solenoid wire. You could have a bad connection there.
if you have power at the starter wire, try bridging the starter terminals to get it to spin a rev or to and then plug wire back in and try starting it again.
You say fuses are ok, what about the starter relay? is it clicking? ( 9 times out of ten it is something simple. ).
Wild child What year and model bike have you got ?. Check the battery terminals are tight. Check the earth wires from the battery to the gearbox are tight. The starter relay could be fucked or the fuel injection relay could be fucked try swapping them around. Does the bike have a code logged ?.There is a transport mode on the bike that kills the ignition system so it won't start. Do you have a owners manual so you can read up on how to turn it off.
