hey chrisco i did the over stock forks on my fatbob get wideglide staunchons 2in longer than bob ones and slide up through the top trees to suit i got mine from the cairns harley shop wayne leonards i think cheapest in aust and mail em home cost $20 bucks to adelaide aust post they beat me home in 2010
cheers, are you happy with the clearance you got? and how much were they? PS it seems we have the same taste in bike colour and pipe choice
well for anyone interested this upgrade is the best ive put on any harley. if you ride hard you need to put the sputhe stabilizers on. the fatbobs handle well stock but with the ricor intimidaters and sputhe on this thing it is unbelievable. shuddering in corners all gone, smooth as. No more dodging potholes on corners, just straight over the top of em and bike is like its on tracks. Also as i said i have put the wide glide forks on which gives me 2 inchs more clerance. so can lay her over a bit more before scrapping.
Highly recommend
Chriso
Very interested mate, and thanks heaps for letting us all know. Was there any tricks in fitting both the stabiliser or the intiminators? or was it reasonable straight forward?
Reckon when you said those bumps just get ridden over now with out the drama, that you won me
cheers Don
I got my mate at the bike shop to do the lot mate, mostly cause run out of time with work before phillip island but apparently front ya can do in about 15 mins easy, but back is a bit more fucking around. some take the wheel off to do it and makes it easy but you can put em on without taking it off but its just fiddly. When putting back one on be carefull not to damage wiring where the stabilizer sits, the wiring actually pulls out a couple of inches to get the stabilzer in.The valves are just drop in but still have to take forks off cause need to drain oil, pull springs out, drop intimidators in, springs back in, fill with oil. simple as that as far as i know.
