The cops are scouting everyone as a precautionary.

The cops are mainly looking for sawn of shotguns and revolvers.

It's not the bike riders that carry the guns and stuff, the cops know that, it's the bikies old ladies that carry them in the plain old family car or van. Do they think that bikies are that dumb?!!

Quick question for ya mate. Was it just coppers or were there  dead shits from the EPA measuring the noise from ya bike. I know if the fuzz think you are too loud they can order a test, at your expence. EPA I think just hand you the fine. I dont think they would be happy with my Granny glides S&S ovals !!

Does anyone really think that the HOG rally will be any different ..it is a great chance for the boys in blue to get their ticket count up and a great revenue raiser for the gubberment

simply go the back roads, new england highway or such

the only defence or attack you have is to know your rights and the law .. half these idiots in blue dont know the law, they simply do what the bosses say

so read up, know about the epa rules and how they should test, know about why and what the police can pull you over for and hold you up for ..

everything is on the net nowadays ... just google away ...

if you look in past posts there is a topic about pipes and noise levels and in it is some relevant links to the different states rules for noise ..I think it is in the general section

go to a library, or search on the net, and look at the law books and find out about the rights of detention and even purposes of actually being pulled over ..

there is no actual defence in saying "I wasnt aware of the law in that regards" ..it is every persons responsibility to know the actual law

but it is all on the net, just find the correc search criteria and keep refining/trying until you find what you need

As a mate once said. "If you want to know anything about the Law, ask a criminal".
cops can and will detain you for just about anything they want, if you tell them to go fuck there dead mother or some such thing, not only will they bust you for insulting words, they will probably do you for resisting arrest as well. This is a dilemma, we don't live in the states.

Good advice Skull. A very close friend of mine rides for a well know outlaw club. Was pulled up by one of these road blocks. The cops found his pistol in one saddle bag, bullets in the other. Arrested , jailed, full on but had the presence of mind to take photos of the group of bikes with his phone. When it came to court, it was found the cop had not documented the exact bike he found the weapon in, and could not identify his bike in the photo. Case dismissed. Very sad though he is, says he lost his best gun! Hopefully they will leave the Hog outfits alone  and only look at the 1%ers. Going in land to avoid these fools ,makes it a long trip.

It seems to me that everytime we ride through Coffs as a group we get grief from the arsehole highway patrol, they must send all the cops that the cops hate to Kempsey, Coffs and Grafton and then put them into the highway patrol.

Last time through they followed us for about 10 minutes running the number plates through their system and give it to us the time before over pipes, bar's and helmets. The defect for pipes was only for a set of fishtails on a mates softail as one of their theories was that they were unsafe and could cut someone if you ran them over, my out loud thoughts were that by the time the fishtails got to them the damage was done but they disagreed with my theory......They did stop the harrasement after I started taking pic's of their id numbers and questioning the young maggots. The old sarg was another story but in the end he give up to. End result, at least 10 bikes pulled over, 1 defect for bar's, 1 for pipes and one helmet fine and he was allowed to ride away with it on......When I asked what happens if we just throw the defect notices away as all the bikes were registered in Qld they told us that it was fine but if we rode them back into NSW and was pulled over again they would impound the bike, was better to get the defects lifted.
