Hi all, we have a family friend living in the shed until he's able to get back on his feet, so being the good bloke that i am, my bike is going to be parked in the car port.

Is someone able to stear me in the direction of a good quality weather proof bike cover that isnt a dust collector

    Thanks in advance, Bretta

I bought one from an auto shop, can't remember which one but doesn't matter. I got the $70 version and I reckon its pretty good. My bike was chained to a tree for about 4 months and it came out fine...

Aldi had em today for $29 - which I thought was pretty good. I haven't taken mine out of the bag, but its supposed to have material inner lining (helps to stop scratches) which I like. If Aldi don't have any left (you'll have to ask since they'll be off the shelves) try any of the auto shops - Supercheap, Repco, Auto-Barn, they all stock them for various prices. You can get waterproof, or water resistant (which under a carport shouldn't matter, but nothing stops foggy moisture unless you stick it in one of those blow up bubbles you can buy... You still get some dust too, just not as much as not having one.

if its in the garage use an old cotton bed sheet, the last thing you want is moisture building up under there, i only use a cover to keep dust off the bike.

I had three Rjays ones but for some reason they attracted my dog. He would chew a hole and make a kennel out of it.

Bought one from Aldi today. Its even got a clear plastic panel for the number plate so you can ride without taking the cover off.

Be careful with the fastenings for the cover, I bought one to use when I was staying down in Melbourne and had to park my (previous) bike around the side of the house down there. One night there were high winds and the strap broke leaving the cover flapping in the wind. The abrasion from the cover scratched a LOT of my paint, cost a shit load to get fixed too.
