Excuse my ignorance but what are lift blocks? I bought one of these jacks when they were on sale last time and currently am using it for my v twin sportsbike motor on a wooden jig I made up but havent tried it out on my Dyna yet

I have an IB Lift, no blocks needed for this lift, just push it under and lift whilst the bike is on the side stand, then it goes straight up and locks.

When taking it of the lift, just unclick the locking device release the valve and down it goes back onto the side stand, then remove the lift. As easy as that :-0

Blocks are used with dyna's as some of their engine sumps sit lower than the rails, you can use the lift without the blocks but you will be putting unnecessary pressure on the engine mounts and sump.

     Shite!!!!

I saw this thread yesterday arvo, too late to head down to Repco and get one, thought I could call and order it but sometimes you get weekend shift people who can't think/don't care/can't be bothered so thought i'd try my luck today on the way home from work and see I could pick one up.

    No Joy

The shop guy did say though they come up all the time, so i'm asking here if anyone spots it can they put it up for us late comers please?  I'll watch this thread.  The shop guy said they'd probably be on sale within 4 to 6 weeks.

I did a front fork upgrade on the weekend using a ratchet strap tied around my garage roof bearer.  I figure if i'm going to be playing around with settings i'd better get one of these at the right price as Repco said they are normally over $250. Can you believe it!

    Cheers all

It's a good lift for the money, had it for a couple of months with no dramas at all. Have a dyna so use 3  bits of wood and is steady as, worth the wait.

Anyone got a pic of what the Dyna Lifting Blocks look like?

Ive got a Street Bob and when I lift my bike, I have been using a few random rubber blocks to even up where the jack contacts to the bike frame.

The Street Bob has a 'sump guard' along the frame rail which gets in the way when lifting, but with a few rubber blocks, alls sweet with my repco jack.
