Main bearings in the 96 motors

    Morrow (SWHD prop.)told me last WE that the time to worry about main bearing probs is when ya go beyond 100hp, up to then there have been few probs with main bearing failure. Prior to warranty expire it's a good idea to have crank run out and primary & cam chain tentioner check. Methinks there are no probs to be concerned about though. Getting mine done in a coupla weeks time 24000k service.

    EVOs have always looked better to me.

    Then again, I talked to a bloke a few months ago who has a 2003 model dyna, and he has 110,000 km's on it and has'nt even changed the tensioners yet.

    im hoping im one of the LUCKY ones ,with the HP i got ,ive done 8000k and no problem as yet , never ride it softly either , wen i had mine done cam side had nil run out , if u heard my bike ud call me a lier if i told u i had gear drive cams in there  i figgerd after a few thosand ks if mine was starting to get a run out ud start hearing them gear drives ????

    any thoughts on that ?
