well ive had the outfit (94' electraglide) for a couple of weeks now a managed to clock up a couple of thousand K's already, and im loving being back on a bike and i think ive made a pretty good go at doing things with a sidecar too. there are a couple of things ive noticed on the bike that im not quite happy with, so i thought id put a couple questions out there to see if i can get any help or atleast pointed in the right direction.

    1. a couple of the latches have come off on the top box etc, can i replace them with an aftermarket alternative?

    2. the radio/stero is stuffed, again is there a common aftermarket alternative?

    3. she sits on the hwy on 110/120 just nicely but i wouldnt dare to go around some of the road trains i encounter up this way. ive heard of blokes installing the 124 s&s or something similar, would this be an option for this bike do you think?

other than that its started first time everytime so far and im pretty pleased with it, being 18yo and stock as (bar the sidecar)

and if anyone can think of anything else useful to tell me, that would be great too.

    cheers

Latches for the top box? either try the stealers or ebay, I have a saved search for Tour Pack and it comes up with hinges and latches all the time.

It is, what it is. The minute ya start tinkering with it, it can become a bottomless pit. With the evo motors, a bit of head work, bigger jets in the carby and appropriate cams (to suit having the chair) is all you should do. The rest of the bike will be a bit tired by now and "over tricking" the donk will just make everything else fail a bit sooner. If ya want to throw money at it, spend it on the brakes. A reasonably stock evo motor will last a zillion years if serviced regularly and maintained. Take the radio out and see if it's repairable. It may be a simple fix. Enjoy it....

    1 ebay.com http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=tour+pack+latches+&_sacat=0

2 biktronics sell radio kits to suit your bike. http://www.biketronics.com/

3 A smaller trans pulley or a larger wheel pulley would make a big difference at cruising speed with the chair
