Heres something I do that might interest you.

Cause i wash my bikes with a hose, ect, I undo all the electrical connectors that I can get to without dismanteling everything, and squeeze a bit of electrical lube/corresion protector in to male and feamale plugs. Started doing this cause years ago as I got pissed at blinker, brake globe bases and plug pins corroding.

Also stops male and female connectors siezing together when a few years old. I generally do this once a year and whenever im working on bike when I can get to a plug easily.

I use Senson brand, Aussi made as it comes in a 50 ml syringe type tube. If you have a couple bikes, tube will last 5 years or more. Its like vasoline so no black/ brown messy shit showing. Seals water out of plugs really well.

Any brand will do and just as good if its electrical lube and looks like vasoline

I have an 08 softail and kwaka road trail and the tube I have now still has 30 mls left after buying it in 08,

I use Morning fresh dishwashing but only a weak mix..(yeah I'm a miserable prick).and I'm a Mr Sheen man for the last 40 yrs. I like the tip of useing the leaf blower to dry the bike.our water here is shit and leaves white calcium spots if I don't chammy it quick enough. I use Auotsol for aluminuim. I also use CRC Silicon spray on area that might like to rust as we are on the coast here,,,,,every thing rusts!!!!

a tip you may never need to use is...Morning fresh put on neat with steel wool will rip the crap of badly stained aluminium. if your've got an old sauce pan dribble some down the side and leave it for a few minutes?? it will oxidize,,,simular to acid.

    cheers Jimmy.
