just wondering what everyone uses to wash and polish their bikes.
ive been using S100 that just sprays on and hoses off, seems to do the trick and i dont have to worry too much about it.
is the harley gear worth the money?
ive also been using the harley glaze and the spray shine or whatever they want to call it, im not decided on if its worth it or not.
cheers GS
My mates think I'm made, rode to the Vets MC on Friday night, rained, rode it saturday back to the dealers to get something checked, rained, rode it to a friends yesterday, and it rained. Still haven't washed it, only got 600 kms on the clock. But, when I get around to washing it, I only use Meguiars NXT, no streaks and works a treat. The dealers gave me some 'Stardust Eclat' Spray, by Autosmart for the chrome and bodywork to provide shine, and it works a treat too.
Mr Sheen
wash bike with
wax with
works for me
I generally ride to the car wash and use the soft brush and soap but make sure to use the spot free rinse. Then take the long ride home and let it cool down. Once cool I used to use Mr sheen all over, but last time a mate of mine recomended the cheap CRC from Supercheap Auto. Reluctantly i gave it a go and it worked pretty good . Tried not to get too much on the Chrome but was suprised to see where I did it polished as good as the Mr Sheen. Next wash smothered everywhere and result was great....... think I am converted as it improves the black and cleans the chrome....
Truck wash. Silicon spray after I taken her for a run to dry off, spray makes the dirt come off easy.
I jack up the heritage on the bike jack & hit everything (Except paint) between the front wheel & the back with a Kartcher high pressure hose, then blow it dry with my leaf blower, then with my compressor for the hard to get to spots. I use purple polish the best shit I have ever used on the chrome & the same product in wax on the paint, comes up like new! Having used Mr Sheen in years gone by, I have no problems with using it if I had to, IE cleaning the bike away from home!
