Re-locate Rear Indicators

     Hi

I have had saddle bags on my 2003 Superglide for a few years now and the standard turn signal relocation kit has NOT grown on me. The look to me is like indicators on a stick way out in the air. I really like the look of the rear indicators on the switchback how they are snug near the brake/tail light. No one seems to do an aftermarket turn signal bar that fits under the Dyna brake light. I am more than happy to retain the existing indicators if I can.

Has anybody modified any of the bars available and if so which bar and did it all work out OK.

    Thanks

In the same boat myself fellas, but with the sporty. The set up is much the same as the superglide. Wanted to put saddlebags on but refused to use the HD relocation kit cause it looks like shit.

Intended to relocate the indicators like the picture below and bought the kit shown below -   but ended up solving the whole thing when I decided to buy a Fatbob,so I don't need the part anymore.

You have to drill the guard and run the wires for the indicators to the new location, but its not difficult. If you are interested I still have this kit unopened in the box and you can have it for the same price I paid for it. I bought this from the US with a whole stack of other things so I am not looking to recoup any shipping costs. Part No is 68617-04.

    Thanks Rooster
I have sent you a PM about the part. This does look to be the best option available. I am still waiting for an answer from the Dealer as to the fit of the Switchback set up. Rather than drill I would prefer to attach it to the tail light set up.
Anybody got a complete tail light assembly in very poor condition I can re model ??

    PM sent to MC.

The part is from a deluxe / street glide set up I think. Whatever you use is going to have to be secured to the guard, that means drilling the guard for mechanical fixings and cable access to the indicator light assembly. So probably four holes through the guard, or that is what I had planned to do. Even the switchback is attached to the guard, not the tail light.

I paid $150 from M&M Cycles some time ago. The buyer would just have to pay for shipping to their location. Unless you are passing through Mount Isa any time soon.

DW the kit comes with what you see in the centre photo above.

    Deadwood,

Seem to bolt behind number plate with number plater fixing screws.
Pretty simple idea but at $30 plus postage probably easier to make something.

They would enable you to keep the wiring pretty well hidden.
