Have had my Thundermax in for over a 1,000 kms now and am impressed with it except my speedo is now showing 10 kph slower than the bike is actually going, it was nearly spot on befor the change out.

Is there any way to change the speedo settings in the Thundermax software?

    Thanks

    Bob

I've never had to change it but in the Basic Settings there is a speedo cal window. It looks like yours should be set at 45900 I think. Wonder why it would change. Hope this helps.

FatBob is shown as 16" front and rear, the other 08 Dynas are all listed at 19' front and 17' rear.

    cheers

So how do I apply these formula to the thundermax?

I am just a simple country lad who finds himself living in the city and rides a Harley.

You could email Zippers for the correct code to put into your 'Basic settings'.

according to zippers tech line thundermax speedo calibrations are set for american models so if aus versions have different rear pulleys the speedo reading will be out
by whatever % difference there is in pulley size 06 dynas approximately 3% not alot but worth keeping in mind as your speed increases

Haven'y had time to look at this yet maybe in the next day or so I will get a chance.  Got to strip the Thundermax out of the caddy to get the communication cable in.

    MAJOR PAIN IN THE ARSE.

Is there any way to make some permanent adjustments to the caddy to leave the cable in?

Ok. So I read the manual last night.  This morning I loaded in the origunal base map I had used (304) and adjusted the Speedo Cal down to 42000 and went for a ride with the GPS, was 100 = GPS and 95 on the speedo, adjusted speedo Cal to 93000 and results where 100 = GPS and 99 = speedo so left it at that. Don't think 1 kph is going to make much diff.  I did check it doing 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110 and 120 kph and all the way through the speedo was 1 kph slower than the GPS..

The original problem was doing 100kph on speedo but was actually doing 110kph, glad I got that sorted before I got any tickets.
