Anyone have any feedback on Vance & Hines 2 into 1 Pro Pipe Chrome or Pro Pipe BP exhausts?? My Bassani Road Rage scrapes badly when 2 up and the V&H pipes sit quite a bit higher so that should not be an issue, I am more interested in the performance and sound of the V&H pipes.
I have never seen another Pro Pipe on a bike in Oz, but understand that I think Sporty Trace's hubby has one on his springer...
1. It is a huge pipe... photo below
2. I have it on a near stock 2007 Street Bob
3. I really like the sound, its very different... and heaps of others have commented that the sound is awesome.
4. The jury is out on performance... because I changed a number of things and am not really the right person to comment
5. It's not hard to scrape the pipe.. I have jacked the rear support up marginally, but still easy to scrape.... in fact most stock and after market pipes will scrape, especilly if you ride hard enough.
did I mention... it's a huge pipe
I purchased mine the month they were released... and the finish was crap and the heat shield was not available then. Just think it was not leaft long enough after being coated before being installed.
overall happy except for size...
where are you located?
Yeah Chris I got one on my Dyna. It's a bit lowered and you have to keep an eye on the pipe going around roundabouts depends how hard you go , it touches on the collector if you do touch. It does touch when two up but will touch at the end of the megaphone. Not too bad. I have heat exhaust wrap around mine all the way down and over the collector. So I cheat a bit and have put a couple or stainless hose clamps on at the collector so if it touches it touches on them and not rip the tape off. Lots of people who have the same pipe say mine sounds better. I have repacked the muffler with finer Colton wool style fiber glass plus the heat tape I thInk makes a big difference.
Cheers
Paul
for those that are not aware, the Pro Pipe Chrome and Pro Pipe BP are different pipes
Pro Pipe Chrome or Pro Pipe Black
Pro Pipe BP (Softie) of Pro Pipe HS (Dyna)
