Hey there. Just seeing if anyone is interested in an exhaust swap? I have an 07 883 with chrome Vance and Hines staggered short shots fitted. Just looking for options really. They are getting a little loud for the wife and my young son....( can't sneak out for a quick ride while he sleeps coz he wakes up straight away) Absolutely love the sound and look but might be time for a change.. Any ideas fellas? I am in Moorooka in Brisbane and would prefer a local exchange at a shop or otherwise. Cheers
Duane
contact heavy duty motorcycles at springwood they may have something, i noticed they have a shit load of pipes hanging around under their shop. worth a try!
cheers will...
Ive got some matte black Rush Slip ons for sale with HD buck shot covers. But I kinda hacked up the bafflels so you may need to organise new baffles but when they were on my bike the wern't to loud but still had a nice note.
yeh, fair enough. Sometimes it's good to change things up a little too. I still have the stock pipes so could look at a possible slip on arrangement. I also live in a culdesac and very quiet street ... neighbours are good but I'm sure it's a pain for early morning start ups. Thanks for your inpouts too fellas.
Hi Duane
Do you still have the V&H to swap?
I have some SE slip ons and some stock pipes from my iron to swap if you are still interested.
Let me know
Thanks

Hello Billfish,
I have just bought a 2012 883 with V&H shortshots. I got the quiet baffles put in and I don't find it too loud, nor does my missuss or the neighbours. Maybe you don't need to give up your pipes. The quiet baffles were only a hundred and somthing bucks.
I live in your neighbourhood, so I'd be happy to bring my bike around if you wanna hear the noise level.
Cheers.
Do you still have these pipes??
Where you running with tuner??
I installed the bafflers into my V&H black sideshots last night and I've noticed a difference. Without the baffles was way too loud. I thought people were being a wus when they complained about the volume. Then I got the sideshots and I have to agree.
I have a full face helmet and my ears were becoming sore when I opened up the Sportster on the highway!!
Now I'v put the bafflers in the growl is a lower end ticking over, keep the revs low and it seems okay
I live in a very quiet suburb so the jury is out at the moment...I haven't had my Sportster that long
