Hey guys, this is my belt drive. I could hear a rubbing noise with the clutch out then it go's away pulled in. Thought id have a look.

Is this normal or can i align the pulleys to stop this? Also theres teeth broken from ring gear, dont think this is a real old setup......

Hey mate. It's an 82 fxr with a late model evo,5 speed box. The belt drive is an aftermarket BDL kit.

New clutch setup as well. Cheers

think the 82 still had the old style hub type clutch? or is it useing a splined clutch?

if its the hub they move back & forward a bit when you pull clutch in, there was a product called a ram jet that restricted the movement. you need to check alinement with your front pully, thats not right.

Krash,I'm not sure what type of clutch it is? I was told the clutch and BDL setup is less than 6/12 months old and rarely ridden before I bought the bike.
Ozrodder,I was told by a mate that I would have to check the alignment as well. Everything looks like new and I've only put about 1000 k's on bike since I've had it. I did take out 3 clutch bolts and springs so it wasn't as hard to pull lever in.
    Cheers guys :)
