Hey all. Pretty new to bikes. 

 

Wanting to get some forward controls for my 2012 883. Stealership wants $850 installed for the HD ones. Yikes!  They want $350 for labour which I think is robbery, as I'm reading it only takes like an hour. 

 

Anyways I'm sure I could do it myself. But looking for which ones to go with. Would like them in black. Anyone point me to somewhere I could get a set?  eBay has a few, all from the US. Will still be $400 landed.

Genuine all the way, i found out the hard way, lucky i was just getting on my bike when the mount broke from my weight ( 58 kilos) these "cheap" ones were from a supplier here in australia that is very well known. The factory HD ones are cast iron, whereas the cheaper aftermarket ones are cast alloy....  One thing i have started sayoing to myself is "its only a couple of hundard more to ensure im not throwing my bike down the road" well worth the extra cost.

 

But if you are after a set of cheap ones let me know, i have them here (with replacement broken part)

Yeah thanks for the feedback guys. I emailed Sam at HH and am about to order a set through him, along with some drag bars. Both OEM HD parts!
