Yeah costly for sure, don't know much of them but google away. I wonder if anyone has tried one in anything other than a battery drill! USA more than likely?

How much did that battery from battery world set you back?

I used to dabble with RC planes and lithium batteries are quite the norm for me. I ordered some A123 cells from Hong Kong... 8 of them. I made a 4S2P pack but on full charge, it would only give me 3 starts before not having enough oomph. On a normal inline 4cyl bike (friends Kawasaki 636) it started perfectly every single time.

The Harley has a high compression engine I guess, so needs more CCA to start reliably. I've ordered another 4 cells to make it a 4S 3P pack which should give PLENTY capacity and still result in a pack that is HALF the size.....

The cells are on backorder so still waiting....

I think this would rule it out for me...

    (from the web site given)

DOES THE BALLISITC PERFORMANCE COMPONENT BATTERY WORK WELL WITH A CONSTANT DRAW?
The current product has been designed and developed as a starter battery in a powersports application. If there is a parasitic draw on your powersports vehicle (such as an alarm) we recommend that you disconnect the battery when not in use. If the battery is completely drained the cells can be damaged.

No idea Rob but they do list them for our bikes!

But I have also heard they don't handle heat to well and most of our bikes the battery is located beside the oil tank..
