Retirement on a Harley

Hello everyone my name is Chris and am currently living in Tassie. I got my nickname Stuffa from my Army days, a take on Christopher 'Christuffa'. I owned a number of bikes in my younger days including a Ducati Desmo 450 single cylinder, a Bonnie 750, a few Jap bikes and Low Rider. The 76 low rider wasn't the best Harley ever built but never the less I loved that bike. The Bonnie was also a special bike to me.

I went to the local harley shop earlier in the year just to have a look and and they asked me if I wanted to take one for a test ride. I told them I hadn't ridden for about twenty years and they said if you have a licence you can take one for a spin. Well after that I felt alive like I hadn't for a long time and new I had to get a Harley as part of my retiremnet plan. Years ago an old Army mate brought a Harley back after a posting to the states and that got me thinking, maybe I could afford one if I got it imported. I did a search and came accross this site and found Wayne at Chopaweeza. After a lot of help from Wayne my bike (a 2011 Heritage Softail Classic) is on a boat bound for Aus.

I'm moving to Wamberal on the central coast of NSW in a few weeks to retire. The bike should be ready to be picked up not to long after we are settled into our new place. I'm really looking forward to my retirement and many good years on my Harley. I have enjoyed reading the posts on this site and have already found a lot of good info and had a good laugh. Looking forward to meeting up with some of you in the future.
