Tour Pack quick release for a 2010 FLHTK

    Hi all,

    has anyone out there had experience with quick release kits for the Tour Pack? I love the storage but it's not really needed all the time.

    Any input greatly appreciated.

    Just found the post-- yeah I installed the QD kit on my 09 BargeGlide and am happy with it. I bought the optional wiring kit to move the pax comms plug to along the rear fender so it can still be used with a QD pillion seat.

    If you won't have a pax you want to talk to/share music with don't bother with the wiring kit. It's just as easy to pull the wiring from the tour pak and wrap them around the inside of the left and right side covers out of sight.

    I got a solo seat as well as I don't often have a pax-- makes the bike look similar to a Street Glide if you take the front and rear fender junk and the pannier cages off. Summer for me no TP-- only really use it in the winter time.
