This has been discussed to death on other forums... he's not actually a 'top cop' he's just a senior sergeant and he doesn't have the power to introduce this shit.

That doesn't mean that the cops wouldn't want to or that it wouldn't suck, just that it's not going to happen because he said it.

They can cram their rainbow up their arse.  Soon we'll all banned from crossing fucking roads because there's a chance a fucktard wont look both ways.  If you want to wear that shit feel free...I'm happy to have a choice.

Last time I was in Queersland a motorcycle cop rode past us in his police issue blue shirt, no protective gear at all.

But WE need to wear hi-vis???

first it was the mandatory lights on regulation that came in after a cetain year. did that make a differance well maybe but drivers still dont see riders.

so i dont no how a bloody vest will help maybe it will but i dought it. i think the govournment need to consentrate on drivers habits like using mobile devises while driving and reading news papers and the rest of it.

being a truck driver around the city of brisbane you get to see some fucked up driving habits/being up high in the cab of a truck you get to see everyone in there cars doing the wrong thing its no wander bike riders are getting killed and mamed.

it has me fucked how people can text and read while driving in peak our traffic they dont care.

and its back to the usual story its always the riders fault when one of us gets cleaned up.

I own a pair of Fluro NIKEs, but they are orange

would it be that bad, everyone will be wearing the same thing

the sports bikes all look like power rangers, the chook chaser guys dress up like crusty demons

Cruiser riders have a common theme, Boots, denim pants, Black leather jacket. open face helmet.
yet some can be substituted, jacket for a jumper (black), vest over a white long sleeve, or a black long sleeve Tee.
go have a look in the photo section for the theme.

when push bike riders had to wear helmets, there was an uproar, "we will look stupid", now it is like seat-belts
so we will wear yellow or orange, avoid the pink one, it will be come the norm.

I don't like the concept either, but if a fought law becomes the law, we don't have the choice

I remember a time when you didn't have to wear a helmet, and now you do..

However, the remvoval of my choice to wear what colour jacket I want is a fucking joke.

They weren't talking full leathers, they were talking full coverage protection; I was told that included cordura type synthetic jackets (dry-rider type jackets) and kevlar jeans (draggin etc).

I don't mind having to wear a jacket and kevlar jeans but a fluro one would piss me off.

Well i will not be wearing one regardless and if they want to target bikes then it will need to be mandatory for all cars trucks buses etc to have fluro stripes across them otherwise its seems a particular lifestyle is being targeted

I'm happy to add flashing red/blue lights to my bike and a siren if they are serious about me being seen.
