Hey guys.  Apologies if this has been asked.  I'm on a mobile, and it's hard to search for it!

Anyone have any feedback on these?  I'm looking at going with them on my 883 Iron.

I'm only wanting to add a bit more rumble to the bike.  I don't want to wake up the neighbours and scare off kids...at least not yet  \

Will I get what I'm looking for?  At least a better sound that stock?

Any feedback is appreciated!  Here's a link to the exact part

Yeah dealer said they won't do just the VHs without doing the tuner and air filter. They've had too many warranty issues doing just the pipes. Otherwise I would have gone with them.

Thanks mate but I've already picked a set. Is your friend selling them because he wasn't happy with them?

No worries man. He bought his Iron second hand and it had short shots on it, the dude he bought it off gave him the SE duals as spares. I had the SE duals on my 48 for a while before I decided to go for some Bassani's. The SE's are good man, they don't attract any heat from the blue boys and as you said they won't annoy the neighbours too much.

Conr I run the SE slip ons and I'm very happy. I did have shortshots but they were just too loud, the slip ons are just right. For me anyway!

I started with the SE pipes, very nice but they just don't cut it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buNhhsOTlwg&feature=context-cha

Went with the V&H Big radius. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhzltjqc_1w

Sounds like a Harley should. Very happy with these.

Man those VH sound loud haha. Those give you any issues with the cops?

The SE clip sounded good to me. Would be good to hear it at idle. I've checked a bunch of clips already. Sounds pretty decent.

So I cruised over to Fraser in Sydney today..busy as shite as per usual. That's where I got my bike from.

I had a listen to an employees 883 with VH shorties....nice, but holy geez....damn loud man. I'm thinking they'd attract too much attention.

I also had a listen to an 883 low rider with SE slip ons, and it sounded pretty damn nice to me. Still pretty loud if you ask me.

Sooooo....just need to wait until next Friday to get the actual bike haha. Longest week of my life! I've also asked them to hit me up with a stage 1 when delivered. Little more grunt.

I prefer the 2-1 but you can't go wrong with them cheap short shots on eBay. Can get quiet baffles for em too.

The V&H sideshots are worth a look too, apparently they can give some fairly decent power.

    Slap.

What's the note like on the 2-1 if you don't mind me asking?

So, I've decided to swap over to some VH Short Shots that I picked up for cheap. I'm running the SE slip ons right now, SE Super Pro and stage 1 are cleaner.

After I swap the pipes, do I need to re-tune? If so, am I OK to ride it to the dealer after swapping the pipes? I'm doing it myself!
