Here goes with my first dumb question, should I go for a brand new bike or go for a second hand one? I have looked at a few and one that sticks is a '94 Dyna LowRider, it's in excellent condition, chrome very good and paint is excellent no obvious scratches or chips. He wants $11000 for it, but it's got 70000km on clock. Would this be a good purchase or should I stop being a dumbass and either buy a brand new one or 2-3 year old that still has warranty and low km's?

Any useful advice would be appreciated.

    Cheers.

Sounds about right for the ks .

Me personally be looking for something a bit newer or with less ks on it. But that's just my opinion.

Shop around and compare dollars and ks.

exercise patience !  there is an excellent second hand bike out there with low k's with your name on it.

the money you save will buy the Handbrake flowers , and for you ,  a years supply of beer and nasty women .

    Depreciation can be you friend.
    25k for a new wideglide or 15k for a 5yr old bike with 20,000 k's on it??
2 grand a year in depreciation with 4,000k's a year on average.
Saving $40/week for 77ks or about $0.5/km for someone else to do up and run in your bike .
