I've been looking at the Joker Machine speedo side mount with LEDs
http://www.jokermachine.com/itemstreet2004.asp?ItemID=636&CategoryID=92&Placeholder=0
The product description states that it is only for 2004 and up, why is this? would it not fit on a 96 model? If it is voltage issue as the old bike still use bulbs and not LEDs could I not introduce a resistor to protect the LEDs in the assembly?
Any advice appreciated

Thanks T1 & hmmm
Got this reply from JM:
"It's a wiring issues. You have 10 wires and ours only has 7. You can make it work but you'll have to splice some wires together. I have something I can send you that will help you wire it."
Hmmm did you have to splice anything and add resistors to protect the LEDs?
Cheers
Thanks Slap
Cant see how its fixed to the bike? fixed to the frame or fork? WAY CHEAPER OPTION ;-)
Along with the joker machine side mount speedo clamp i also fitted www.jokermachine.com/itemstreet2004.asp as i wanted to see the lights infront of me.
Doing the autometer clamp things might be an option, you may be able to fit the above clamp or maybe this one www.jokermachine.com/itemstreet2004.asp
