whats wrong with the 777 cams ?????

I would put them in with a .030" headgasket

Another vote for staying with the 777.
Nice cam.
Perfect time to do it properly and pull the heads for a tweek.

OK, here's the thing, what I would do is just bolt the 777's in for now, and ride it for a while.
They will work OK with stock CR, and should give you a nice mid/upper boost with a good tune.

If you are looking for more, the 777 is perfect for upgrading the heads, and while the heads are
off, you REALLY MUST take it out to 103/107, as you are 9/10ths there anyway.

At 40k , I would be changing lifters.
I'm currently using comp Cams 850-1 lifters now, and they work well, and are a good price.
For my 113" Motor I have a set of their 875-1 travel limited lifters.
