Hey all,
So I have to get a burnout on film, and I was wondering if anyone has any cheats for exaggerating the effect or even some easy cheat. I know the old front tyre against a wall, but the shot is going to a wide shot, so thats out of the question. I've also heard putting some WD40 down helps. any truth to that? I also want to minimise tyre damage, so maximum smoke, minimum rubber.
Cheers
you could try diesel or old cooking fat from your local fish & chip shop
Let a Hoggie show you how

i've heard that kero and dishwashing liquid works quite well
3rd with mine is a good mix of smoke and nice revs.
A bit of oil will help get her started without shocking the belt etc but as for preserving the tyre, that ain't gonna happen
What ever you do, don't do it this way.........
the faster you can get that back wheel spinning the more smoke you will create so as soon as that tyre gets nice and hot start up shifting in the gears.
Well the shoot was last night. There will still be a video to come, but for now here is a still I pulled from the footage and added some grit to.
