WTF!! My alarm on my 2011 heritage actually went off and scared the fuck out of me when I took the terminal wire off.  1) Where is it getting it's power from. 2) How do I disconnect the battery without the alarm going off??

Turn the key on first then revove the battery leads.

Then buy a workshop manual $100

Option 2 which gets no spark:

1.  Locate main fuse,

2.  Turn ignition on, and wait for the initialising process to finish.

3. Turn ignition off.

4.  BEFORE THE ALARM HAS TIME TO ARM remove the main fuse.

5.  Remove battery without bursting ear drums.

battery has its own power source watched a fella few yrs back disconnect battery alarm went off popped out alarm box took alarm for a walk pulled battery alarm still goin off wrapped in rag till excess power gone lol then he found out turn ign off turn on ect ect fuck i laughed then built him a 117 cuber mmmmm
