Can anyone tell me how to stop the quick release back rest from rattling?

I wrapped a little bit of duct tape (one loop) around the mounting pins / docking hardware or whatever they are called. Made it tight to get on & off but doesn't rattle any more.

I have read where someone put O rings on to stop the rattle but I couldn't get it to work.

Louder pipes = rattle gone.

If it,s a H-D detachable , then stretch it wider a bit . It will then be pushing out when installed , if this makes sense . If it,s older the plastic bushes may be worn .
