ive never had so much trouble with electrics before. one day the remote battery dies, the next day i replace it, the next moring its dead again. i replace the battery, it works, then nothing. I had an auto elecy look at the remote and the remote is dead. im down to one remote! we took the seat off and he checked the wires and earthing of the alarm unit and nothing is a miss.

I've had issues disarming the bike immoibliser to the point if i press the button hard enough ill break it! i dont want to ride the bike incase i cant disarm the alarm and immobilsers and i get stranded somwhere!

can the alarm unit under the seat be removed completely!?

this is for an 02 sporty.

well ive sorted out the issue, it would of been nice of the auto elecy to make note of it or at least let me know.

once i got home i took the seat off myself to look at everything. none of the wires that were cut an attached were soldered or even crimped; they were just twisted by hand and taped. i undone everything, soldered and shrink wrapped all the wires for the alarm that attach to the bikes harness.

the bike most likely vibrated everything loose! and disarming and mobilising the bike was hit or miss. ive still got one working remote however.
