Picked my Dyna up in the pouring rain 3 days ago and it hasn't stopped raining since. And I've ridden her every day, total of around 500km.

    ahem !

massive difference between riding in monsoonal rain for 40 days and nights and someone sticking a hose under the seat .. if you dont believe me try it ...

thats why i dont want people who are paid $5 an hour to wash my bike !

Bad that the switchy broke down... good that they loaned you another switchy!

A lot of shops either don't have loaner bikes or they use whatever old just traded and cheap bike is hanging around.

only time i use high pressure is if i gunna pull the motor an do a rebuild or most times i degrease first then a light hose off air blow dry pull motor then high pressure while motor out can get all the road grime n shit from under the motor where if its in ya just cant reach yup even new harleys have weeps not leaks that fall on floor but sweat leaks .also when ya wash your bike every now an then check ya front plugs under the reg/rect as it fills up often nearly all i pull apart have water in em an can lead to eng light comin on as a charge prob

Glad Harley heaven looked after you,
I had a belt & pulleys on my road king replaced recently, not a cheap exercise, but was very pleased with thier service.
I knew they had to drop the primary oil etc, & adjust the ( new ) belt, so asked them if they would service it at the same time, without charging me full service cost on top of belt replacement.
Short story is that they did the whole thing, new plugs, oil & filter, replaced a worn bearing in gearbox final drive( must have been accessable without much effort),
    gear oil etc.
And they did it all for the quoted price to replace the belt & pulleys!
I have been a motor vehicle service manager for about 25 years, & know the pressure on service staff ( from dealers)to upsell, get every cent they can, it goes on & on, especially in the car industry.
I knew the service was being ( a little) partly done by my belt replacement, but these guys did suprise me, it's very rare to get treated even fairly these days, I have left the industry, because of the rip offs the dealers wanted me to do, but the Chiodo's ( sorry, not sure of the spelling) obviously know that a quick dollar dosen't keep you in business,
Good work, I'll be back for sevice at Harley Heaven,
    For anything I can't do.

oHORT yAT THE SAME TIME, WITHOUT ii KNEW r recent .
