I wouldve had one but for the tank, hopwever a nightster tank on a 48 would be the go!

Really happy with mine ,awesome to ride, tank range sucks , you will need to get a primus fuel bottle as lucifer mentioned, I only get about 110 k around town .if you are thinking of taking a pillion passenger you will need to upgrade to heavy duty progressive shocks and don't get the HD sidekick seat ,really uncomfortable for pillion , maybe a gel Danny gray seat would be better.
Other than that , love the bike , take it for a few test rides , good luck

Thanks fellas, appreciate it. Havent had a test ride of a 48 yet got the opp to ride a 1200 custom and an 883,no comparison the 883 to me, when coming into rounabouts felt like it had a bowling ball in the tank! The fuel situation is my biggest prob as ill be doing 120ks round trip from work, love the peanut tank but im seriously thinking about putting a nightster tank on! SACRILIDGE i hear a few of you say but shes just gotta be practicle!
    Oooroo!

I loved the 48 and was going to buy one BUT the fuel tank and range were the factor that prevented me from getting one. I dont have a petrol station on every corner like they do in Sydney or other capital cities. If I wanted to go to Sydney I would have to stop 3 times. Once on the way down, once in Sydney and once on the way back. If the tank had of been 14 litres I would have bought it.
Having said that if this is of no worry to you buy it. I like them heaps. Again my ideas should not influence your decision. If you like it then fark what anyone says. Just buy it.
