A seller can put what ever price he likes on what he is selling...It only takes one person that is looking for that specific bike that will pay the money...If you think it's too much money then don't buy it...Truth beknown that if that was your bike would you sell it for $6000 ???? I think not....I would think around $11000. but as I am not buying or selling my opinion is of no value...

More than likely someone would pay 15k or there abouts for a heritage in good nick. {room to negotiate ? ]
A mate has a ugly/fucked around with 86 model and he thinks his is worth 20k plus..LOL

Pound for pound it is worth 11-15k or somewhere in between.

I agree WTF does red book know ??
For 6k there would be "scam" written all over it.

So in reality you have yours for sale for 13700...Not much less than whet you paid....Now if someone wants it and nocks you down another 1000 then thats 12700...If he is willing to swap you then he is really only getting 12700 for it,not $15000.00...How bad do you want it???

Cars are worth shit,go to a wholesaler and see what you could buy with some coin in your hand.

Big twins have gone down in price when sporties have gone up.

Why would someone want your sportie ??

Sorry to hear that you don't like your iron.
Give it to me..I don't give a fuck what I ride as long as I ride.
I'd swap you a car and a big twin..

See that car is worth shit..LOL

Yes Stonehead your not the 1st to jump from a XL to a Big twin.
Most wait until they have loostened the motor a bit more .
    iykwimyslmf.
    [IfYouKnowWhatIMeanYouSillyLookinMutherFucker] LOL&HAHAHA.

IMO go the larger bike in the 1st place if that's where a rider wants to be.
A Sportster shouldn't necessarily be used as a stepping stone.

I've had more than 30 bikes over the past 30 years and there were a couple that I bought (without test rides because they weren't available) and then hated, not just disliked but outright hated.

I bought a V-Max (one of the original ones)... a cruiser with power... great idea thinks stupid me.

Except that instead of combining the best parts of cruisers and sports bikes it combined the worst parts. It flexed more than my original Z900 Kwaka, it had a power band like a nasty two stroke, it chewed fuel like a V8, it sounded shit and it was more uncomfortable than a sports bike.

It took everything that was fun and enjoyable about riding, shoved it down a pit toilet, swirled it around until it was dirtier than a 60 year old hooker and then tried to pass itself off as fun.

I tell you... within a week of buying that thing I wanted it out of the garage, within a month I hated it. But it took me another 6 months to get rid of the shitty thing though.

Maybe the OP has similar feelings about what he bought *shrug*.

whats wrong with 2 minute noodles ya stupid fuck  .... i get the nasi goreng style which has about 1429 sachets of herbs , oils , fried onion, and shit which you mix together in a large mixing bowl before adding the freshly cooked and drained noodles  ( i leave about quarter cup of water )

    its fuckin awesome !

    Back on topic...

There are bucket loads of sportsters on the market, they're the biggest sellers at present but nobody keeps them for very long.  Either wanting to upgrade to a bigger bike or they just trade in and get the new model regularly.

Big twins hold there value better than the sportys.

Personally i'd rather an 86 "it has an evo" in it..  Most people would ask for more than the asking price so im guessing he'd be open to move on the price..
