    G'day stoned pirate,

To pass EPA requirements harleys run lean. Installing freer flowing flowing exhaust and/or air fiter And it  can lean the mixture out even more. Whether engine is run in or not makes no difference. The bikes efi unit can adjust to a certain degree and your bike may be running ok. It would be best to install a tuner or even the most basic of devices the XIED from www.nightrider.com can enrichen the mixture in closed loop But if you want really release some power the are plenty of tuners to select from.

    It's only money

    Regards,

    marx

What pipes and AC you put on for break-in doesn't matter in the least, as long as whatever it is. The bike is tuned forever is on there. Look at it this way. Guys out there are installing brand new 120R's. I can't think of anybody running stock exhaust. I could even possibly make the arguement that doing at least a stage one w/ tune would help cool the engine and uncork it. That might be a better break-in than corked up and running hot.

    ?

    ?Engines are "run in"

Horses and virgin's are "broken in"

Anyway it would be better to run it in with the good stuff fitted

And dont nurse it ,run it in how you are going to ride it.

Just avoid high revs for a while and dont over rev it at any time ,especially when down shifting.

    Cheers

I also agree 100% with him.  I use something very close to his dyno break-in.

"Running in" just sounds much better, or closer to what is really going on.

thats what I was trying to say OZ.
The way you will ride it UNLESS you intend to ride at consistant speed on the high way.

My method in the past has been up hill and down dale if you can find the right location
