Has anyone tried to put a late model Fatbob (dovtail) guard on a Wide Glide, or the opposite. Do they fit witout modification?

Also, does anything else need to go with it. I know the brake light would but would any of the wiring loom also need to go, or anything else? Would the rear strut arm covers also be interchangable?

If so, does anyone have a gloss black guard in perfect nick, brake light, and chrome stut covers (for my black ones) they would like to swap off my 2012 Wide Glide? If so pm me.

I've seen it done before. The easiest  way is to get yourself a 2012 Dyna parts manual that will show everything in detail along with part numbers.

Both bit of info have been very halpful. It looks like this can all be done with just some minor rewiring. Now I just need to find someone who would like to swap parts. All the other posts I have read on styling about guards suggests that the chopped fender off my bike is more popular then that older looking ddove tail guard so I am hopefull.

Perth HD are the cheapest I found so far at $1500....

yes it fits ive just done mine you will need to change the wiring harness and the metal struts that run along the guard are longer than the wide glide guard
