Not as far as i am concerned Phil01 ..... we all have to start some where ..... i am a newbie as well to this forum allthough been riding some 32 years ......  you might get different response from others but hope not ..... welcome to the world of Bikes .

welcome phil01. mate not every one has owned 100 HD's or ridden them for 50 years. some have I guess but not all.
I ride a metric but hoping by the end of the month that will be corrected.
Joining and reading before you buy could well save you making a few unfortunate mistakes. It has certianly helped me.

we need more members like yourself to be honest - gives this site a more well rounded feel.

plenty of good free advice if/when you get closer to upgrading , although the 650 should keep you happy for a while

my harley should be within a 2 years , i might even get an older one earlier and do it up ,
i was a mechanic once and could spray as well so maybe , then again i would to just get what i want as soon as i know what it is and have the cash
plus i have to wait 12 months before i am allowed on anything over 650 cc.
i like the look of fatboys the gutsy front end , i like proper guards and a basicly a big gutsy bike.
what that actually is i am not sure , but i have elimated anything with xl in it so far . ( o and those huge tourer things wtf with those )
any way i think i better get out of intos ,

Welcome and hello Phil. I used to be a mechanic too in a former life, some time last millenium.... must admit though I have loved knocking the cobwebs off the spanners and doing some work on the HD. Enjoy your riding.... and keep it shiny side up!
