Just joined the forum, a thing i shoulda done years ago. I have a 98 FXD with about 80,000 K's on her and is presently getting an Andrews EV 27 put in with Torrington bearing, SS lifters, SS breather, Andrews adjustable push rods, bored 10 thou, and a set of JE 9.5:1 pistons. No headwork.
I think this should work pretty well....hopefully. Apart from that she is pretty stock apart from the Hi flow air intake and Dyntec ignition, bit of a rat bike actually, but she is a goodn.
In the past i have had a 96 RK, 97 883 taken to 1200 and an 07 RK.
Love the FXD although the 96 RK remains my favourite ride. We did about 250,000 together and it was a sad day when i sold her when i was living in NZ and moved home to Aus.
