I got one on my Softail. I don't mind it. Easy to clean, you can see what is getting caught up in the filter. In a way it is a bit un nerving at the same time. They have a magnet on the filter that the oil passes over that catches any metal. When you go to clean it you will see a gray sludge on the magnet, metal from your engine.... They only filter down to 30 microns as well, where as the HD OEM filter goes to 5 microns, on face value you could say not good enough well there is a fair bit of leeway wit the OEM filter as well. It will go into Bypass mode early due to pressure build up in side the filter, especially in a cold motor. ( Bypass is the oil not being filtered before being pumped around the engine)

Ralpskie i at the end of the day you have to decide the pro's and cons, Also Walka from VPW sells the same item but different make for about 100 bucks. Pure one I think by memory, I paid %181.00 a couple of years ago for a K&P filter and have seen thema lot cheaper around the traps. Do a bit of shopping and save some money
