About to buy a New bike. either a New fat bob or an Imported CVO 2008 model. It's low km's privately owned but hardly riden by the current owner. Apparently found and imported by him for his own use.

What should I be looking for or aware of with the 110 motor? or the bike in general.

I have been fortunate to have only had new bikes over the last 35 years so reliability is something I have always enjoyed and appreciate.

I'd be looking at brand new bike V almost 5 year old used bike, regardless of engine size I'd go new but that's just me, I like the idea of modding engine and looks to how I like then as opposed to paying a heap of money on a CVO that is dressed up how someone else thinks it should look and perform

I'm actualy about to import a 2006 cvo fatboy. My opinion is they look way better than some of the newer bikes & they are the hsv of harleys.

    thank you all.
It is a personal import so the insurance was some thng I was concerend with. Needs keys, fobs and security pin, no owners book. It is also one of the production runs that was recalled. I have checked the Harley USA site and cannot say if it actually went in for the work, only that there are no outstanding product campaings so that could mean not done but time has run out.
Any way there are enough small issues for me to walk awy.
Bloody beautiful bike just the same.
I think new will be my choice if there are any left that is.

not sure chop maybe not a lot different to many bikes 4 years old with at least 2 previous owners. Just didn't feel right to me at the price. It could well be a great bike

me i would go new, the cvo's don't do it for me, i'd rather customize my own way but thats the beauty of Harleys, each to their own :) good luck with it and enjoy !!

Most have to wait if they want a new bike. That's life.

Depends what colour ya want to. Couple of denim blacks

On the floor down here. Colour will usually always be a wait.

Any import CVO should be leaving the states with all the stock parts as well.

They all have some kind of aftermarket exhaust on them when you find them ( just like here !!), but get the stockers !!

Also get the " Gold CVO Key ", 2 factory alarm fobs and the CVO bike cover, all the private sellers still have them usually !

Buying a "Repo" ? Well then you'll get fuck all of that stuff so be careful there.

I've just had a real close look at a 2009 CVO Springer here in Perth with "4,900 K's " ( Have'nt they all FFSAKE !)

Yes with a square back tyre, one alarm fob and wee dings marks and scratches all round.Thought they got new stock HD tyres for compliance ??

My 2008 Softail custom with 36,000 K's is WAY cleaner so what gives with that ??

This Springer had been internet bought sight unseen so there you go !
