I would suggest you that gift a girl with the normal bike which is there available,Don't label it as a ladies bike or something like that,Get her a main model and train her how to ride it and see how it looks on her.The Tough bikes looks really sporty and very attractive on beautiful ladies.

My missus hates sitting on the back of my bike and keeps saying she should get her license and ride her own bike, which I am of course constantly encouraging and telling her to hurry up and get her learners. I figure it just puts me one step closer to a second bike..! Every time I see a 48 or 883 iron I point them out and make the suggestion, I couldnt care what she got if we get that far to the point of buying another. I already have a 2010 FXDF and to be honest id be happy with a little sporty for a second to burn around the local streets on plus i got no manhood issues. Im happy to say there is a lot good looking tricked out sporties on the market, they have come along way in visual appeal over the years..

I enjoy the occasional ride as a pillion, but there's nothing like riding your own bike. I ride a Nightster and yes its true, at 5' nothing, one of the reasons for my choice was the low seat height, also the narrow frame, weight, bigger tank than the 72 and being a 1200, has plenty of get up and go for me. Absolutely love it! Just had a weekend away with another girl who rides, and we rode from Ocean Grove to Daylesford, Wedderburn, Stawell, Halls Gap, Dunkeld, Ararat, Port Fairy, Warranambool, back home down the GOR. Its a great bike <img src=" border="0" />

Hi Nightstar, glad you had a great ride. GOR from Warnambool is awesome, my wife and I did it by car quite a few years ago and I'd always wished I had my bike to do it back then. Oh well, that's just another thing on the bucket list of things to do, who knows, I might not stop and keep going on to Tassie, love to visit the Apple Isle again as I didn't get to see enough during our 9 day honeymoon, almost 5 years ago.

Hi 06 Softail, it was a fabulous ride. Got home at 7.20pm last night and went to Lang Lang early this morning, met up with some friends and rode to Sorrento, had lunch at San Remo, down to Wonthaggi & Wilsons Prom, back to Lang Lang and home to Ocean Grove. So pretty full on long weekend, but fantastic riding. Im doing 2 weeks up the coast to Surfers Paradise and back in October and planning to do a week in SA first week of November. I havent done Tassie, but lm planning a couple of weeks off in Feb next year to do Tassie with some friends. Really looking forward to it. We had planned to do Tassie, Feb just gone, but a dozen of us went on a ride to Pambula and one of the girls l was going with, wrote her bike off on a corner, so our Tassie trip got cancelled. It was her first ride out today since the accident.

GOR is a great ride; traffics an issue in the fantastic weather.  You need to get an early start to beat the tourists. Well worth it though <img src=" border="0" /> Hardly any traffic on the long weekend just gone, surprising! You and your wife really need to do it by bike!

06 Softail, will definitely let you know when the dates are locked in for November, thanks. Would be great to have someone local who knows the area. Hope all goes well with the new baby coming <img src=" border="0" /> Also, if you ever do get down this way, l live a block from the beach here in Ocean Grove & theres some really nice ocean view riding & plenty of other roads with fantastic scenery - not to mention the close by GOR.

Allde, nice dual......exhaust, awsome pair of.......solid wheels.
Wouldve been breezy coming down the GOR 7pm Sunday night though; need ya high beams on
    enough!

     Hi GT,

Luv getting away on the bike.

Thanks for the tip. Good to know as a few if us will be heading over 1st Nov and meeting up in SA with a few other riders coming down from NSW. Will make sure we go via Edenhope. Still working out how many days we'll spend there. At this stage will head off to QLD 12th Oct (good trip 3rd year running l'll have done this with my friend Caz) come back 28th or 29th, a couple of days at home, then head off to SA 1st Nov.

Will be good if 06 Softail can organise a day ride and show us some of the local roads. I'll check out the interstate section, thanks :)

My Mrs likes the fatboy lo or the softail slim, but then again she loves just about anything that is completely blacked out. she has this thing about flat black on bikes and doesn't like any chrome if she can get away from it, hehe I ask her sometimes if she likes mine, she just smiles and says it is ok, personally I am sure she hates it, cause I like colours and tonnes of chrome.

I am riding a Street Bob  2013 model and its fantastic..

but I am of the opinion you need to try before you buy..

I have been riding since I was 17 years and have had many bikes and feel now its Harley for me..

And Yes I also have a Sporty which I have owned for 6 years and ride when I am feeling like

rounding up corners in a different manner. Enjoy..
