Hi,
I was issued with a self clearing Defect notice for my Handlebars in Qld last weekend by Task force Hydra. They had the road blocked off and singled out motorcycles only. Issuing numerous fines and defects. The officer (hmmm) has reversed the first two letters of my rego plate ( KX instead of XK ).
Does this make it invalid ?
If I dont ammend, does the owner of the rego # KX --- have his rego cancelled ?
Any info will be appreciated

in all likely hood they also noted your license number, name, address and vehicle details on the notice. Challenged in court could have a finding of a mistake of recording and not an error of fact.
It's a self clearing defect so buy that I think you simply need to correct it and have it signed off. I am guessing it was for apps.
as mentioned above phone transport and ask but dont put yourself into further drama over a defect you can correct and move on.
