Sinkiang-Tibet National road G219 is known as the hardest highway to ride on.Beside the road,there are high mountains and the condition of the road is very poor. The road is constructed mostly by dirt, sand, washboard and gravel. Along the way, half the region is no man area, the total length is 800km. The accomodation is quiet primitive, not to mention gas station.Our team has given this road a serious study half a year ago before we even started, and it's also the most challenging road of our trip. It's a challenge for our harley motors aswell, for we don't have any rescue car or back up force riding on this tough road.
Soon poor condition road begins: gravels, dirt and sand.

?Pangong Lake? Pangong Lake, in Tibetan pronounced Cuo mu ang la ren bo. Some people say it means bright, long and narrow lake. Others say it means long neck swan.
Pangong lake is located 12km northwest of Sun Earth county in Ari Region, is an international lake on the boundary of China Sun Earth County and Kashmir, flowing from west to east. it's about 155km long, the width is abt 15km from north to south. The narrowest point is only 5km. Its surface evelating 4240m and the water is very clear, the transparent depth is 3-4m. The water iced for half a year each year. The east Pangong Lake is fresh and the west is salty.It's fresh water in Sun Earth County and the west junction part with Kashmir is salty water.
In the lake, there are dozens of islands and thousands of hagdons rest here. The hadgons,wild geese fly to the sky all together and even block the sun, it's a wonder in Ari Plateau. The sheperd living by the lake say that they've seen dragon and monsters in this lake, making Pangong Lake mysterious. In this region , there are 300 kinds of plants. Rose willow surround the lake, making a unique scenary.

Mr.Zhao says finishing traveling around China is his dream, now he standing on the 4000km altitude high snow plateau, he has finished half the dream.Beautiful red earth, dirt and soft mud,our team experienced danger and scenary at the same time.

Jieshan Osaka is actually a watershed of Long mu cuo lake and Mangcuo lake in 7.5 km south. People always mistake that Jieshan Osaka is the highest point of Sinkiang-Tibet road.Actually, the highest point is Hongtu Osaka---23km south of Jieshan, is located in K741km. Hongtu Osaka is the watershed of Mangcuo lake and Pangong Lake. From Hongtu Osaka, heading south 88km is the Duoma township government of Sun Earth County.
16:41. Mr.Zhao's motor's tire was attacked by a big steel nail.Mr jack repaired the motor in emergency.21:35PM the remaining sunlight of the sunset is embracing the earth, clouds became more and more. 10:38 AM ON 21th, MAY, Mr. Jack had Mr. Kong's motor under emergency maitainance at dead gap. ?Death Gap? The death gap on Sinkiang- Tibet road is very famous, its elevation is 5150m and the weather condituion is quiet tough. if you entered Tibet through Sinkiang, from Kudi Osaka, the altitude rises very soon and high. In death gap , the elevation is soon reached 5000km, many people died here because of strong altitude reaction.
Because of the pleasant weather and Mr. Jack-- the technician with wonderful reparing skills,plus the extraodingnary driving skill of us riders, combining with physical strength, willpower and endurance, we finally successfully passed this challenging road.
