Me and a mate have been looking into Bike coms. Just thought it might be handy when in and around the city for GPS, or music on the long rides.

I know Scala and Sena are highly recomended, but pricy.

Have seen the BT Interphone, and noted theve been around a long time, and have recently upgraded the the earpieces and now have a remote mounted on bar. At $96 for the pair on eBay, albeit from o/seas, needs to be considered.

Anyone had any experience with the BT units?

I had a BT unit for about 12 months, sent it back twice (just would stop working) and was never real happy with it. I got it because a mate of mine had one and loved it and never had a problem so maybe I just got a couple of bad ones (I tend to be unlucky with electronics).

I then bought the Sena dual pack, had it 2 years. Split the cost with a mate who took the second unit. They are great, highly recommended. If you look around on US ebay and wait for the right units to come up you can get lucky. I picked a brand new dual unit up for $130 when they were retailing for more than double that.
