?Saint Mountain?Mount Kailash
Mount Kailash ,the main mountain of Gangdise Mountains, is located in Pulan county, Airi region, Tibet. It is 200km away from Seng-ge kambab county and 100km from Pulan County, streching along China, India and Nepal boundary. The mountain is 6656 m altitude high, and is also has the reputation of "the top of Ari".
Mount Kailash has more than 250 glaciers and brings a lot of sources of water. It is the source land of the Gangers river,Indus river and Yarlung Zhangbu River and the saint mountain of Tibet. The shape of this mountain is like olive, reaching to the sky. The top is like colorful crown circle, and the side mountain is like 8-fold lotus surronding the main mountain.Shen mountain is like crystal. Many believers came here to make pilgrimages, from China,India and Nepal.
Kailash means " Mountain of the Gods" in Tibetan. Mount Kailash is viewed as the saint mountain by the world, and is also thought as the centre of the world by Hinduism,Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetan Bompo and Jainism. For centuries,Mount Kailash is a charmed place for pilgrims and explorers, however, no one has climbed up to the top yet, or should i say no one dare to offend this world's center.Mount Kailash is always surrounded by clouds, local people always think it is a bless if you can see the top.
?Sanit Lake?Manasarover Lake Manasarover is located at 35km east from pulan County in Ari Region, Tibet, and the south of Mount Kailash. The lake is located 4588m altitude high ,with an area of 412 square km.The lake water is very clear and the transparent depth is 14m, is the highest transparence lake in China. It is also the source of the 4 major rivers of Asia, has the reputation of "the mother of the world's rivers". Manasarover means "invincible, victory" , and has another name: holy lake. Buddhism called it "saint lake". The believers of Buddhism and Bampo see it as the "centre of the world" . Every summer and fall, the believers of Buddhism came with the old and young to make pilgirmage. They use the holy water to clean their body,with the intention to prolong their lives. Surrounding Lake Manasarover there are 8 temples, is located all around. On the east is Sewalong Temple of Zhigong Religious faction. On the southeast is Nieguo Temple of Sajia Religious faction.On the south is Chugu Temple of Gelu religious faction.On the southwest is Guozu temple of Bhudan Geju religious faction. On the Northwest is Gaji Temple built on the cave where 500 arhats once practisied. On the west is Qiwu Temple abd on the north is Langna temple of Buhtan Gaju religious faction. Beside Lake Manasarover ,there is Ghost Lake. In Tibetan it is called "La ang cuo", means "poisioned black lake".Lake Manasarover is fresh water lake and La ang cuo is salt water lake.
