    G'day all,

now the new softies have service periods of 8000ks but i'm lead to believe this is to long between oil changes for a air cooled v-twin & the oil will need topping up in that time. has anybody done the full 8000k's between & if so any of these problems come up? a few of the boy's from the old man's local old blokes club (you know the one) have been changing there oil from the harley stuff to a mobil i believe. has anybody done this & what results have you had? quieter motor & smoother gear changes was an answer i got why i ask one of them the question.

                                                                                        cheers swoody

I put in Amsoil and let it go the 8000k, 20-50 in all three holes bike runs as smooth as a swiss watch. Primary can take most any engine oil as long as it don't have friction modifiers.
