Major work needed to rego this in NSW. Sad that things are so strict. I like it a lot. Would love to be able to build and rego a rigid frame with no blinkers or other crap in NSW. TC

Bars open primary are the obvious things.
See if the bike has been given a frame number if it hasn't then you are off to the crime investigation unit for a reaming..
Should have a Police number ask the seller about that.
Don't need blinkers and the DBA rating should be around 100

No such thing as a pan -shovel .
It is a genny shovel the model that carried this style bottom end before the advent of the cone motor.OEM

Personally I wouldn't take the risk of trying to rego a bike like that in another state. You might get lucky and with minor changes like the bars & pipes etc., but you also might not and end up in an expensive Engineering ICV mess.

Best bet is to keep your eyes open and buy a rigid that is already registered in your own state. They don't come up often, but they do still come out of the wood work from time to time, and you may have to actively seek them out and convince current owners to part with them.

    Worth it though!

    Thanks for the Replies guys.

I think i'll look in NSW as El Skitzo said.

Will take longer but at least I wont have to put up with the Bureaucratic bullshit.

7 out of 10 bikes that I've seen and liked have come out of Queensland though.

Heaps of afordable custom fabrication work is done up there.

    Cheers
