Sorry Oneup, can't help you on this one, but I'll give you a tip, get a second key cut.

second key is only good if you have it with you. some fix it on the bike. thats great to assist the scum of this world get an easy ride. you can be inventive about where you place it though. still a risk in my view

Condom. Anal insertion of spare key each day before you leave home. Make a game of it.

allde not saying you were suggesting the second key on the bike but many do, At home is ok if you can get there, put another in the cage, leave another at work if you can. Bit of an issue on a trip. Stitch it inside your jacket. clip another one on the tag of your boot. there are a few ok spots on the bike but you need a tool to get at it. Inside a light for example. Still don't like giving anyone a head start on getting a free ride.

go to your dealer. Give him all the bike details including vin and engine no. Prove youre the real owner and the dealer can get the key number from Harley. They can order a cut to fit key. This is to stop people removing the hard-earned--paid-cash machine from your garage and asking how to start it on a harley forum.
