    Hi all,

I'm new on here and just wanted to ask a question. "Why don't people seem to like sportys". I know it's a bit strange since I see them all the the time but while I was looking for my bike, litterally everywhere I went said "avoid the sporty, it's a girls bike". I thought it wierd 'cause I thought something small and light with a few mods would be a scream to ride. Is it some old predudice from a time long gone or are they seen like that in the Harley community?

How can a near 900cc bike be "a girls bike"
Was the Kwaka 9 given the same respect?

I had one and after talking to the dealer about better rear suspension, we would bottom out two up, he drops, "they are not designed for two people",
I even asked about this when ordering the two up seat and pegs, so I traded to my Nightrain.
I reckon it was a great bike

Nothing wrong with Sportys they are a great bike and at times i wish i still had mine and if i could afford it i have one sitting next to my Super Glide, i really like the Iron, set it up with a set of Z bars, pipes and forward controls it would be a great bike that i would be very happy with.

Nothing wrong with them, they have serious HD history. That said, I have zero interest in having one. Comes down to personal choice.

Simple explanation for the anti-sporty mind set. Most blokes have a small dick and need to compensate with a bigger bike......

I really like the custom or HardTailed Sportys that you might see on Jockey Journal, but I've never really liked the look of the older Stock ones.

They look to Short in the wheel base and to cramped.

I do like what HD has done in the last 5 years though.

Some seriously good looking city bikes for sure.

I love mine, no regrets whatsoever, and I am always amazed at the number of people who approach me at servos etc asking about my iron.

    At 5"9" and 110 kg's I am a definate fat fuck condidate.

I have only recently bought a lowrider for two up riding from coffee shop to coffee shop (or winery)

Last weekend was around Dubbo, Narromine etc, two weekends ago around around bald hill/wollongong before that around maitland/newcastle, yep us Fat F**** dont mind the odd coffee run.

I still have my bonneville for riding the twisties and when I bought it I couldnt decide between the bonnie and the 883 iron, in the end the bonnie was just cheaper (and set up for 2 up riding).

Personally dont care what you ride as long as you ride it.

    Ride Safe All.
